Less than a Week NoW!

We have about 30 scrapbookers/cardmakers all signed up to take part in the crop this Saturday. Can you believe it is less than a week? Neither can we - so much to do yet, to make sure you all have a fabulous day. There are goodie bags to pack up, tables and chairs to pick up and set up... The list is longer than that, but I just don't want to spoil any surprises.
Registrants should have received the 1st of 2 emails late next week.
The 2nd will go out early this week - it's your reminder, with a few more ideas of what to pack etc.

More UPdates

We're very excited to see the order forms coming in for our crop. We had carefully measured and calculated how many we could accomodate at maximum, and while it doesn't appear we will sell out, we are definitely going to have a fun day!

After some discussion and deliberation over what constitutes an adult, we've decided to include youth in our event. We are assuming that they will behave as though at an adult event, with respect and maturity to those around them. And we're thrilled that they've caught the scrapbooking bug, too!

We're overwhelmed with the generosity of our donors and will begin packaging up the goodie bags and doorprizes. It's just going to make for such a fun day!

Tonight is the deadline for families to submit their ticket order forms. It will give us an idea of where our numbers are. If we are not yet sold out, we will take late registrations.

Just a reminder...

We are very excited about the response to this fundraiser crop! The ticket sales are starting to come in already and the donations keep coming, too. We feel very blessed!

We did want to remind you that this is our first attempt at an event like this. We have been asked if teens may attend. After careful consideration, we have decided the answer is no. We know lots of teens who are responsible and considerate, but the reason is because we initially sold this as an escape from home/family/work distractions to get your scrapbooking done. For some attendees, scrapping with teens, even if they are not their own, is not conducive to that escape - too reminiscent of home.

We hope you understand. As we gain more experience, we may (actually already are) consider a teen or mother/daughter crop in the future.

The Date is Set!

We are so excited to announce that the date for the first (of what we hope will be many) fundraising crop is set for Saturday, October 23rd, 2010. The crop will run from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Your crop hosts are Ann Jobes and Christa Uttley. We are busy this summer getting things organized so that your cropping experience will be fun, friendly, relaxing, enjoyable, and productive.

The cost of the crop is only $30. Profits from the crop help to pay for costumes and competition fees for dancers from Encore Dance Studio in Elmira.
Your $30 fee includes:

• all day coffee, tea
• morning muffins
• catered dinner (bring your own lunch or step out to nearby restaurants - Sip & Bite, Raphaels Pizza, KFC, and Chinese are all within walking distance)
• terrific tool station that includes: a  Cricut Expressiont, (Pink Journey, Accent Essentials and Plantin Schoolbook cartridges are available for your use. Feel free to your own cartridges to use too), a Cuttlebug with several folders will be available for your use, and a a few dies (again, if there are certain ones you know you'll want to use, bring them), LOTS of punches.

• four feet of scrapping space, so you can spread out!

Most of all, we offer 12 straight hours of crop time with your scrapbooking and cardmaking friends, where your kids, pets, hubbies etc. aren't interrupting you (especially if you turn off your cell phone - LOL!)

Tickets will be available through competitive dance families in early September. Be sure to get your order in early as there are just 60 spots available.

We would love it if you would also indicate in the top posting that you are coming so that we can stay organized and try to keep track of how many people are signed up.

The crop will be held in the dance studios, no stairs and parking is not far from the door! We may have a cart to help you move your supplies from the car to the room! If you have any questions please call or email:
